Last week I made Easy Spanish Style Potatoes to go with some prawn tapas we brought. But this week I want to make my own Spanish Tapas Prawns. Not only that but I wanted to make Spanish Prawn tapas in my slow-cooker!! Sorry, I am a day late but I knew this sun was only going to last until the end of today and I wasn’t going to waste it 🙂
It has been like Spain in Ireland these last few days with temperatures up to 28 degrees C and sunny skies. So these dishes are perfect and my slow cooker means my kitchen is not boiling hot in the evening. It also means I get to spend more time in my Organic Vegetable Garden and I love that.
Why is a slow cooker great for Summer?
- It doesn’t heat up your kitchen like the oven would.
- It saves electricity. Energy comparison website Uswitch says: “Slow cookers can also be an energy-efficient option. They use just a little more energy than a traditional light bulb”!
- It frees up you time to go out and enjoy your summer.
- You can bring it on holiday – Susan from Crafting a Family brings hers to Disney to save money
I tried making a video for my lovely Spanish Tapas Prawns but due to someone accidentally knocking the camera this little snippet is all I have left.
