How to stick to your meal plan and keep costs down
- Never Shopping when Hungry – this one Vital
- Write a List and Stick to it.
- Avoid packaged meals – cooking from scratch doesn’t always take time.
- Eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit
- Try to add a Meat-free meal to you diet at least once a week
- Shop in budget stores Aldi and Lidl which keep their prices low.

Tasty Meatless Meals recipes
This amazing chili will warm you up and even better you can throw it in the Slow cooker and come back in to a wonderful smell and a cooked dinner. All it takes is two steps to prepare it,basically it is so easy and great with Tortilla chips. Get the printable recipe here

Looking for something easy and full of flavour to hit the spot how about this tasty Quick Vegetarian Rogan Josh a perfect filling meal.
Tip: Eating meatless doesn’t mean lacking taste in fact it is totally the opposite – use spices and herbs for added kick.
Wednesday is always Pizza night you can even get Gluten-free Pizza for only €2.49 We make ours Gluten Free as my daughter is gluten intolerant but loves LOADS of cheese. Serve it with a Large salad and top with tasty vegetables.
Tip – You can cheat once during the week and you can always make it healthier with low-fat mozzerella topping and lots of healthy veg on top.

TIP: Make a list of your family’s top dinner choices. Chances are you’ll find some of them are already meatless. Homemade mac and cheese, spaghetti marinara, grilled cheese, bean burritos, rice and beans, and pizza are some common meatless favorites.
Sometimes when you need something not as filling a great soup with tasty grill cheese sandwiches fills the spot and this Leek and Potato Soup and Homemade croutons is perfect for filling a hungry hole.
Tips: Not every meal has to be Meat and two veg , something like a veggie filled omelette with salad is just and good.
Some of my recipes are both meat and vegetable versions and this Tummy Warming Beef or Veggie Casserole has a fabulous veggie version, guaranteed to fill you up.
TIP: Slow-cooker dishes on the weekend free up more time for fun
For Sunday Dinner I usually cook a roast dinner with Free- range chicken and lots of veggies from the garden. But this week I will be sharing my Root Vegetable gratin Recipe on Friday – this tasty dish has a dash of wine which makes it a tad more posh for your Sunday Dinner.
You don’t have to eat meatless everyday, unless your a Vegetarian of course. But adding it into your Meal planning rotations will not only save you money but will be healthier in the long run. I hope you enjoy these Tasty Meatless Meals.
