I love April, it is time for new seedlings in my Organic Vegetable garden. Organic Vegetables which will end up in Family Friendly Meal Planning Menus in the future. I love using my own vegetables in my cooking but that will have to wait.
Instead, we will shop the vegetable specials in the Supermarket. Shopping Specials and tailoring your meal plan to what is on offer saves money.Family friendly Meal Planning on a budget is something I am very familiar with check out my how I feed a family of 4 on €60.00 post.

This week’s Family Friendly Meal planning Menu
Tonight on my Family friendly Meal Plan is Tummy warming Beef casserole. You can also make a Tummy warming Veggie Stew it is a winner with kids and adults alike. Also as today is miserable in Ireland it will warm everyone up! I cook this in the slow cooker which makes the meat tender and is better on your electricity bills !
MONEY SAVING TIP – I always look out for 30% off meat in my Local Lidl it usually has to be used up in the next few days. Pop that meat into a freezer to make it safe for longer and use when needed. That is how I have Beef Steak pieces this week.
This Tasty Sweet Potato Cottage Pie can be made with Normal Potatoes or a mix of both is you kids are not keen on sweet potatoes. Sweet Potatoes are great fiber though and introduce it when they are young and they will love it.
Gluten Free Pizza or Stuffed crust Pizza for those that can tolerate gluten. My eldest daughter is gluten intolerant and that is why ours is gluten Free. Lidl do great Gluten Free Pizzas for under 3 euros which is very good. Homemade wedges are perfect with them and you can make them as spicy or plain as you like.
The great thing about Chicken Fajita is you can make them any way you want. Make them spicy or make them plain for the kid that hates Mexican food. I make them on wholemeal wraps because that is how we roll, serve it with Mexican rice.
The easiest and quickest meal for my kids involves pasta and you can get Gluten Free pasta. Mine love this Bacon and Mushroom Pasta and it is so easy to make and cooks in a flash.
I am going to make these amazing Irish Whiskey Glazed Pork Chops and Colcannon ( hence the Kale) don’t like whisky try these Glazed Pork chops . The thing about Colcannon is I find kids more willing to eat Kale if it is in Mash potatoes.
Rotisserie Chicken with Roasted new potatoes and Veggies. Followed by this amazing Lower- Fat Kinder Bueno Cheesecake which I have promised my youngest I will make and I will share the recipe for it on Friday this week so pop back for that !
