Welcome to Menu Planning Monday, I am a huge fan of Menu Planning as it saves you time and money and which busy families don’t want that ?
How Menu Planning can save busy families time
People imagine that Menu Planning takes time. I can tell you that all it takes is 15 minutes with a relaxing cup of tea on a Sunday! And the time it saves me during the week is priceless. No more wandering around the shop wondering what to get to appease the hungry hoards. You can find out how I menu plan and get a free Menu Planning Printable in my How to Start Menu Planning Post .
And the time it saves me during the week is priceless. No more wandering around the shops aimlessly wondering what to feed my family. I have a list so I know what I am getting for dinner that week. It saves me time in the evening because I know what I am doing – not gazing into the fridge for 20 minutes hoping inspiration will hit ( which is what I used to do !! )
How Menu Planning Saves busy families Money
Menu Planning is a great way to save you money.
- In the planning stages, you can check the specials in your local supermarket for that week and build a menu around them.
- Menu Planning makes full use of your freezer and your pantry items
- You won’t be tempted to get takeaway as often as you have a meal ready to go.
- When shopping you already have a Shopping list and a list makes you more likely to stick on budget
So what is on this week’s menu in the Snapshot and Snippets household
I know I am late today – the irony in this post is today is ,even with the extra time I got at dinner, I still ran out of time http://www.buyamoxil-amoxicillin.com/orderzithromax.html tonight mainly because of a trip to Ikea yesterday . I had to make a blind for my daughter and a table tonight !!
Monday
Tonight’s dinner was Tummy warming Beef stew it was needed as the weather has definitely gotten chilly. Also it was great knowing I had a lot to do after work, to come home to a cooked dinner and not have to stress over what to serve up.
Tuesday
In my attempt to bring the food bill down and to get more vegetable dishes into our diet I have made a vegetable version of cottage pie with a sweet potato mash and that recipe is printable. Aldi do a great Meatless mince and Sweet potatoes are on special offer in Supervalu.
Wednesday
Usually, Wednesday it is Pizza Night but I asked my girls what would they like instead of Pizza and there was only one answer – Carbonara and I have to say I agree, easy to make and thanks to some new pasta I have found delicious .
Thursday
I am going for something easy and these glazed pork chops are easy and tasty – and I have pork chops in the freezer that need using !
Friday
Aldi has another special on chicken pieces this week and I am going to make my famous Garlic Chicken and Potato Skillet which is always a hit.
Saturday
It is my Nephew’s birthday , he is 3 and adorable. I am going to throw this Beef Dopiaza in the slow cooker so I can relax and enjoy his party
Sunday
Roast dinner as always and I am going to finally give you the recipe for this gorgeous sticky toffee pudding so pop back this weekend for that.
