What are Spanish Style Potatoes?
Spanish Style Potatoes or patatas bravas in Spain. This dish is essentially potatoes cooked in a spicy sauce and served as an appetizer, or tapas. Variations abound in both the cooking method the potatoes are fried, boiled or roasted. And the sauce, which usually has hot peppers, tomatoes, and olive oil
The name of the recipe roughly translates into “fierce” or “angry” potatoes. But these potatoes are as spicy or “fierce” as you make them. Mine don’t like them too spicy so I that is why they are Spanish Style Potatoes. I actually filmed my first recipe video for these potatoes. It is a learning process so I hope to be doing more of these in the future and hopefully, they will improve.
As you can see we still have some kinks to work out but I hope you will forgive those because this is a tasty recipe and the ingredients mostly came from Lidl. You will have to find the Smoked Paprika.
TIP – Mix in some chopped Chorizo and make it into a meal !!
I hope you enjoy this tasty Spanish Style potatoes and you give them a try.
They are some tasty Spanish foods in Lidl this week and I highly recommend the Prawn Tapas – it is so good. I plan on making a recipe of my own using prawns to fill the bowls that came with it.
